Louisiana Trans Advocates’ Competency Training
LTA offers a series of training opportunities to help ensure our communities are treated with the respect in health care settings.
To help the transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) communities know where we can expect to feel safe and affirmed, all providers who take our training will be recognized on our website.
The basic competency training, in which we cover topics related to pronouns and general vocabulary, lasts about an hour. Advanced training is tailored to the needs of specific providers. The training team is composed of TGNC Louisianans. To ensure our ability to pay our team, we are asking $250 for each session. Please note: If this cost is prohibitive to your practice, please let us know.
