Vontashia Bell, 18, was fatally shot on August 30, 2018 in the Cedar Grove neighborhood in Shreveport, Lousiana. No suspect has been identified, but investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Shreveport Police Investigators at (318) 673-6955.

Amia Tyrae Berryman, 28, was fatally shot at a local motel on March 26, 2018 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Few details are known about her murder, and police report they have no suspects or persons of interest at this time.

Jaylow McGlory
Jaylow McGlory, 29, a Black transgender woman, was shot and killed in Alexandria, Louisiana on August 4, 2017. According to media reports, a 20-year-old man was later charged with her murder.
Ciara McElveen
Ciara McElveen, 26, a transgender woman of color, was stabbed to death in New Orleans on February 27, 2017. McElveen did outreach for the homeless community.
Chyna Gibson
Chyna Gibson, 31, a Black transgender woman, was shot and killed in New Orleans on February 25, 2017. Chyna was a much-loved performer in the ballroom community who was visiting friends and family in New Orleans at the time of her death.
2016
Demarkis Stansberry
Demarkis Stansberry, 30, a Black transgender man from Baton Rouge, was fatally shot on February 28, 2016. An acquaintance, Nicholas Mathews has confessed to shooting Stansberry, and has been arrested and charged with negligent homicide.
Goddess Diamond
Goddess Diamond, 20, of New Orleans, was found dead of blunt force trauma in a burned car on June 5. No suspects have been identified.

Penny Proud
Penny Proud, 21, a Black transgender woman from New Orleans, was fatally shot on February 10, 2015.
2013
Ms. Hartley
Shaun Hartley, 31, was found murdered on September 12, 2013 in an abandoned house in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Hartley was gruesomely beaten to death with a plank of wood.
